A CANADIAN CLIENT, WITH A BRAND LAUNCH IN THE UNITED STATES
BRAND CHALLENGE
ERIS (Environmental Risk Information Services) is a Canada-based data company and part of Glacier Media (TSE: GVC). Their primary service is to provide information to environmental engineers, real estate investors, banks, and insurance companies who have ordered Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments to uncover any current or past environmental risks associated with a particular property. While ERIS is well established in Canada, they hired MillerVolpe to launch their brand into the US.
CREATIVE SOLUTION
Launching a brand from the outside into the US can be a daunting task in terms of scale, reach, and budgets. But the good news is that environmental risk information is a very niche market that we could target strategically. All this being said, we knew we had to come out with a powerful introduction for ERIS, immediately putting the market on notice that a major new player had arrived on the scene. The successful brand launch campaign was entitled “Monumental Expansion,” and featured environmental data streaming across some of America’s iconic sites.
MONUMENTAL RESULTS
After two years in the US market, ERIS is the fastest growing environmental data provider in the US and now claims nearly a 15% market share — a huge accomplishment for any national brand. MillerVolpe continues to work with ERIS to further its brand awareness and market penetration, through branded campaigns, digital marketing, sales support, and trade show events.
